Management requirements
The management of a layout for the packing of a CTU is the responsibility of everyone involved in packing the load in the CTU or monitoring this process, in accordance with their competencies, training and qualifications within their company.
Training quality
- The training should be carried out so that the trained person is in a position to recognise the consequences of loads which are poorly packed and loaded in CTUs.
- They should learn about:
- the relevant legislation,
- the size of the forces exerted on the load during transport by road, rail and sea
- as well as the basics of packing and securing loads in CTUs
- the relevant legislation,
- Topics to be covered in the training are set of in annex 10 of the CTU code.
