CTU Code (Code of Practice)
CTUs are used to transport goods in containers and trucks via road, rail and sea. People involved in loading and unloading, instructing and supervising, must be trained in stowing transport units according to the applicable international code of practice (CTU Directives) and act accordingly.
This online training applies to all employees and responsible persons involved in loading containers and trucks.
These are:
- Shipping employees
- Dispatch manager
- Dispatchers
- Stowing personnel at the port
- Unloading staff
- Responsible persons
Due to the complexity of the issues (e.g. climatic influence or protection from pests), this one chapter in the online training cannot cover everything. We recommend that you take a look at the original documents for the CTU codes. Region-specific specificities or inspirations such as comments from other European countries are not included in this online training.
