Qualifications and documentation

The qualifications required of trainers are set out by the European expert association - EUMOS. They must meet the requirements of the experts in their main characteristics.

Training documentation

Notes should be taken on the training and kept in order to document the employee's training in the relevent provisions.

Recommendation: Only use trainers who are demonstrably qualified with qualifications and demonstrable knowledge of the various modes of transport (road, rail, sea). The trainer's level of training and their aptitude (neutrality) should comply with EUMOS Directive 40607-1. Accredited training companies with certified trainers can be used based on info@eumos.eu region-specific regulations.

The EUMOS Directive is a testing standard "stable load units EUMOS 40509:2012"
The geometric modification of load units following dynamic transport processes are classified. Therefore, moving space is defined in reversible and non-reversible areas. Load units up to a height of 1.20 m may be permanently deformed by up to 6 cm (measured on the perpendicular). If these framework conditions are exceeded after three repetitions, load units will be additionally optimised through adjustment or a higher dimensioning of load securing material. All available techniques and materials can be used (e.g. stretch film, shrink film, bands).
