Responsibility and consequences

The CTU Code is another important step in the harmonisation of general regional activities to protect people, the environment and goods.

Poor securing of loads or inadequate packing can lead to damage, claims and, in some cases, injuries to people.

This means that the people who stow the CTUs and secure the goods must bear any legal consequences resulting therefrom. Depending on the area-specific jurisdiction, these transport prohibitions may result in fines or prison sentences. In the case of property damage or injuries to people, it is not uncommon for no or only a very limited insurance cover to be provided.

In order for people or the companies for which they work to be protected, this CTU online training has been compiled by various experts.

The training is an important step to give employees initial training on load securing in CTUs. This is a legally-binding requirement from the CTU code and applies throughout Europe (and in Switzerland).

For you and your employees, the CTU online training helps to avoid lasting damage or injuries and can be used in case of a preliminary claim from them or their companies.
