make sure that the packer and consignor provide all required documents
determine the gross mass of the CTU correctly
make sure that dangerous goods are classified, packed and marked according to applicable international dangerous goods regulations
complete the transport document fully and correctly and transmit to additional parties (packing area, forwarder, consignor)
check the CTU for suitability with the load being transported
distribute the load in the CTU evenly (refer to region-specific requirements in this regard)
unless agreed otherwise, the CTU must be completely empty and clean when returned to the CTU provider
remove all markings, placards or descriptions relating to the previous consignment
secure the CTU on the transport means
provide the CTU in accordance with the agreements and all valid regulations
