IATA: International Air Transport Association
The standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as well as the associated technical regulations (ICAO-TI) are in force for the shipping of dangerous goods in air traffic.
The IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations of the airlines for practical application have been put together in a handbook on the basis of these technical instructions.

Every year a new edition of the IATA DGR is published. It is effective from 1 January to 31 December (without transition period!).
