Segregation table

1 - "Away from", 3 m does not apply to the separation table shown (= in the container), but to multiple containers within the ship (see IMDF 7.6.3.5.3)
2 - "Separated from", 6 m does not apply to the separation table shown (= in the container), but to multiple containers within the ship (see IMDF 7.6.3.5.3)
3 - "Separated by a complete compartment or hold from"
4 - "Separated longitudinally by an intervening complete compartment or hold from"
X - the segregation, if any, is shown in the Dangerous Goods List column 16
The IMDG Code provides segregation requirements to prevent contact of incompatible Dangerous Goods. As a consequence, different types of Dangerous Goods may have to be packed into different containers

Segregation group
Coded designations are assigned to the segregation groups, e.g. "SGG1" for segregation group 1 "Acids". This designation is listed in column 16b of the dangerous goods list for the respective UN numbers. This means that the dangerous goods list tells you directly which segregation group a certain UN number may be assigned to.
