6. Special features (9/14)

Check at the airport

  • Two copies of the Shipper's Declaration for dangerous goods are enclosed and filled in correctly.
  • Quantity of dangerous goods stated on Shipper's Declaration is within the limits per package.
  • UN-coding of package is appropriate and permitted by the applicable packing instruction and packing group.
  • The packages and overpacks are marked and labelled correctly.
  • The packages and enwrappings are in perfect condition.
  • The separating regulations of Tab. 9.3.A have been observed.
  • The provisions for overpacks for CAO (Cargo Aircraft Only = full-freight aircraft) are fulfilled.
  • There are no undeclared goods with hidden dangers.
  • The State and operator variations have been observed.

The operators use checklists for monitoring at the airport.


IATA recommended checklists are shown at the very end of the respective regulations.


DG-Reject:
If a shipment does not fulfill all requirements, is refused and the shipper/ freight forwarder is fined.
